V-model

Software is the heart of a control system — everything must work together to make the various electrical and mechanical components operate in harmony. To keep software error-proneness as low as possible while still delivering efficient solutions, ATR Engineering believes in applying the so-called V-model. The V-model is a software development methodology widely embraced in the world of software development. More information here.

The V-model does have its pitfalls, however — for instance with small control solutions (“do I really need to go through all these steps for a few photocells?”) and repetitive work (“copy of the standard — which turns out not to be so standard after all”). ATR Engineering has developed methods to address these practical challenges in its own way, while still upholding the effectiveness of the V-model efficiently.

Nothing is more frustrating than a machine standing still due to an (unknown) fault.

ATR Engineering has broad knowledge and experience in the field of PLC controls and possesses multiple software tools in 3 of the most widely used programming languages (Siemens TIA Portal, Allen Bradley rsLogix and Codesys), enabling the most efficient software design possible with simplicity and transparency at its core. This means you will be able to resolve faults yourself with minimal experience in PLC controls.
